About Mia:

I’m a dancer and musical theatre performer based in southern Indiana. I grew up training at my mother’s studio, Mires School of Dance, where I studied tap, ballet, and jazz and competed throughout the Midwest as a member of the MSD Royalty pom team. I’m now proud to be part of the studio faculty, working with young dancers through training and choreography.

My love for the performing arts began at a young age, performing with the Little Grand Theatre Company starting at eight years old. As my passion for musical theatre grew, I performed with the Madison Theatre Thespian Troupe in roles including Velma Kelly and Ms. Shields, and later choreographed for Encore Theatre of Madison.

In 2018, I founded Steps Toward Hope, an initiative that expands opportunities for dancers in Indiana while raising funds for Dancers Against Cancer. My commitment to performance, community, and service also led me to the Miss Indiana stage, where I have competed in local and state Miss America competitions for the past five years.

I’m a graduate of the Dance Theatre program at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York and am currently pursuing my BFA in musical theatre. Outside of the studio and rehearsal room, I’m an antique enthusiast, a devoted pickle lover, and a fan of all things pink.
